Supplementary feed to support muscle metabolism

Ruppiner Vitamin E is a vital protection and contains highly concentrated vitamin E. Vitamin E primarily protects the cells from oxidative stress, which arises from heavy stress. Accordingly, this supplementary feed is particularly suitable for sport horses, broodmares and foals.

Symptoms of a vitamin E deficiency can include increased oxygen consumption, muscle weakness, tiredness, reduced willingness to perform, a higher risk of infection and even the horse breaking down. The administration of vitamin E supports the muscles, the immune system and the heart and thus promotes the health of the horse. In addition, strength and endurance are strengthened. In addition, the product contains selenium and the accelerator lysine. Lysine is the most important amino acid that cannot be produced by the body itself and should always be supplemented in sufficient amounts for horses that are subject to greater stress.

Feeding recommendation

Due to the higher content of trace elements compared to complete feed, this supplementary feed may only be fed with up to 45 g / 100 kg body weight / day. Depending on the stress situation, we recommend a dose of 20 g - 30 g / 100 kg body weight / day. For a large horse (600 kg) this corresponds to approx. 120 g - 180 g / animal / day. The feeding recommendation refers to a roughage intake (hay) of 1,5 kg per 100 kg body weight and day.

The recommended feeding time is up to eight weeks before exercise and up to four weeks after exercise.

A measuring spoon corresponds to approx. 20 g.
