Complementary feed to promote hoof and coat growth

Ruppiner Huf-Repair is a supplementary feed with highly concentrated biotin. Biotin is a coenzyme that is significantly involved in carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism. These processes contribute, among other things, to hair and nail or hoof growth. The resilience and fine functional structure and elasticity of the hoof are the prerequisites for any possibility of movement and the well-being of the horse. In the event of a deficiency, skin and hoof damage can therefore occur. The hooves can become soft, brittle or cracked. Exhaustion or eczema can also be effects of a biotin deficiency.

Feeding recommendation

Due to the higher content of trace elements compared to complete feed, this supplementary feed may only be fed with up to 5 g / 100 kg body weight / day. For a large horse (600 kg) this corresponds to a dose of 30 g / animal / day. The feeding recommendation refers to a roughage intake (hay) of 1.5 kg per 100 kg body weight and day. For an optimal result, constant administration over 12 months is recommended. A measuring spoon corresponds to approx. 20 g.
