Straußenmineral

Ostrich mineral as a supplement to the basic feed

When keeping ostriches at home, these imposing birds feed mainly on grass. In order to ensure a balanced and needs-based feeding, the administration of a mineral feed should not be omitted. Our ostrich mineral serves as a supplement to the basic feed and is explicitly tailored to the needs of the animals. It is characterized by corresponding calcium and phosphorus contents. It also provides the birds with vitamins and trace elements.

In the different age groups and in breeding, the different needs and requirements should be taken into account. Chicks and young ostriches should be fed in such a way that weight development corresponds to skeletal growth. In the case of laying ostriches, an increased need for minerals must be taken into account.
