Supplementary feed to compensate for electrolyte losses caused by excessive sweating

Ruppiner Electrolytes is a supplementary feed to compensate for the loss of electrolytes after sweating. Especially when there is an increased need due to heavy sweating or diarrhea, it is important to ensure a balanced supply of the most important electrolytes. Sufficient supply should be ensured, especially during the hot months, since horses can lose vital electrolytes through heavy sweating, which in turn are of enormous importance for the water balance of the horse. Heavy training sessions or transport can also be stressful for horses and reduce their performance. By feeding Ruppiner Electrolytes, the mineral stores are replenished so that the horse's performance is maintained even during strenuous training phases.

BENEFITS:

  • Supports the compensation of electrolyte losses and the replenishment of mineral stores
  • Particularly suitable after a large loss of fluids
  • Ideal for support during intensive training phases

Feeding recommendation

Due to the higher vitamin content compared to complete feed, this supplementary feed may only be fed with up to 10 g / 100 kg body weight. We recommend feeding for 1-3 days in hot weather, during increased stress or increased fluid loss. Ruppiner Electrolyte can be administered dry, dissolved in drinking water or with a mouth syringe.

ATTENTION: Access to sufficient clean and fresh water must be guaranteed at all times.

Frequently asked questions

How much Ruppiner Elektrolyte does my horse need?

Due to the higher vitamin content compared to complete feed, this supplementary feed may only be fed with up to 10 g / 100 kg body weight. We recommend feeding for 1-3 days in hot weather, during increased stress or increased fluid loss. Ruppiner Elektrolyte can be administered dry, dissolved in drinking water or with a mouth syringe.

ATTENTION: Access to sufficient clean and fresh water must be guaranteed at all times.

When should I give my horse Ruppiner Elektrolyte?

Ruppiner Electrolytes should be given during heavy exercise (intensive training, hot temperatures, diarrhea) or when the horse is losing a lot of sweat or fluid. We recommend feeding for 1-3 days.

For which horses is Ruppiner Elektrolyte suitable?

Ruppiner Elektrolyte is suitable for all horses with an electrolyte deficiency.

What problems can Ruppiner Elektrolyte help with?

In the event of a large loss of fluids, for example due to sweating or diarrhea, the horse not only loses water, but also important salts (electrolytes) and vital substances. This can lead to fatigue and a drop in performance. This deficit can be quickly compensated for by the administration of electrolytes. IMPORTANT: If a horse does not want to drink despite a large loss of liquid, it is usually due to a lack of electrolytes. This is a protective function of the body, since the blood volume increases and the level of electrolytes decreases with further fluid intake.

Can Ruppiner Elektrolyte be given to pregnant, lactating mares and foals?

Yes, Ruppiner Elektrolyte may be given to pregnant, lactating mares and foals.
